Hi Cecile, Each flower type has a different vase life. Flowers like mums, daisies, alstromeria, orchids, carnations and others last a long time. Flowers like gardenias, delphinium, hydrangea (and others) don’t last as long. And, much of how long they last has to do with the 1) how fresh they are to begin with, 2) the conditions where they are being maintained (heat/cold) 3) water cleanliness and nutrients. There is not a cut and dry reply to your question. If you have a specific flower type you are curious about, let me know and I can give you specific reply for that flower.
It really is rare to get an expert in whom you can have some confidence. In the world nowadays, nobody definitely cares about showing others the way in this issue.
