Getting Ready for Easter
Easter is a fun holiday to create floral and other decor items for your home. I still love coloring Easter Eggs! Yesterday I tried to make Cake Pops. They came out DELICIOUS. My intent was to mail them to my brother and nephew in Idaho, but I’ve since realized that these aren’t going to make that trip because they need to be refrigerated. So I will have to send a gift certificate to them for See’s Candy instead. Oh well, now I have lot’s of cake pops to incorporate into my floral designs.
Pastel colors are associated with Easter, but really any bright shades of color also work. You can buy styrofoam eggs and decorate them to be inserted into your floral designs. Lilies, roses, daffodils, iris, hyacynths, lilacs, snowball vibernums, mini calla lilies, tulips, freesia, alstromeria, anemone, heather, heleborus, poppies, muscari, narcissus, pieris, ranunculus, gerbera daisies, stock and snapdraggons all are great flowers to use for Easter floral designs.
This time of year you can find super cute baskets that can be used as your floral container. I saw lot’s of fun ceramic containers at my local craft store as well. You can incorporate Eater Bunnies and even Easter candies into your floral designs as well.
Have fun and come up with something that represents what you like for your Easter Centerpiece.
